im thinking about buying a new laptop n going pretty much use it as a desktop replacement. heard some pretty good things about asus w3v, what do you guys think?

why don't you just get a desktop? Much better upgradability, cheaper, and faster. But then again it depends on what you're uring it for. Unless you're a gamer, a decent laptop would be fine.
