Lcd monitor goes offcenter when fullscreen

hay, ever since i bought the flat screen monitor, whenever i do full screen, or full screen dos mode the screen is always offcentered has anyone ever had this problem with monitors?

monitor brand is samsung syncmaster 715v

get a utility that allows you to lock refresh rates, if you keep the refresh rate the same on all resolutions it should stop.

There might be an auto-adjust option in the menus somewhere. The flatscreens I've seen do this, often needing this auto-adjust procedure to be activated manually whenever the resolution and/or refresh rate changes.

hmm ive looking in display options and monitors menu and there were no options for auto adjusting the screen. Tried locking refresh rates but the screen is still off centered entering full screen in dos or any program :/ maybe ill try looking in the video card or graphic settings.

it sounds like your problem is that the monitor IS auto-adjusting. you don't want it to. When I set up my LCD I had the choice between a fixed resolution that made any smaller resolution just show up- well smaller, not stretched. You have to remain at the native resolution of 1280x960/1024 or whatever.

This was in the VGA settings on my Nvidia drivers.
