Laptop question

I'm in the market for a new laptop and i'm wondering which company you all think make the best laptops? HP? Compaq? Dell?

Was looking at a Dell XPS so I could play WoW anywhere in the house *laughs*

Dell XPS Gen 2s are one of (if not the) best gaming laptop on the market right now.

HP/Compaq is a definite mixed bag. Some of their laptops are quite good (mostly the business ones), but the majority are pretty bad.

I've been reading so many good things about Dell, so, go for their laptops.

Do not touch a Toshiba, under any circumstances.  Mine had problems that, had I not been under the warranty, would be otherwise unfixable or expensive to fix.  We're talking an overloaded heat sink and improper antistatic grounding on the palm rest. 

Get a Dell or an Alienware.  I like the Thinkpad because they run forever, but I hate the pointing stick with a passion.  But any of those three will serve you well.

Tip: go to outlet.dell.com and save a few hundred bucks on a refurb.  You'll get it quicker and you can still get the same extra warranty coverage if you order it.
