Firefox Cache

Name: Anonymous 2005-09-08 2:32

Right, so i browse /b/ often with Firefox. Problem is, sometimes i open images in tabs, and forget to save them immediately.

I come back in an hour and try to save them, but Firefox is gay, and refuses to save from cache. It wants to redownload the image from the internet.

By this time, /b/ has already purged those images from the server.

Is there anyway to browse Firefox's cache, or tell Firefox to save images from cache if downloading from the server is impossible?

PS, I can't seem to do it from about:cache .. and the actual cache files don't have extensions, so i don't know which are images, which are html, swf, etc.

This is why i like Opera. Opera caches shit using its own naming scheme, but retains extensions. That way if I do need to (And i don't, which i'll explain in a bit) I can just browse to the cache dir, and arrange icons by type, delete, arrange icons by size, delete. and then look through shit.

As for not needing to use the cache. I have Opera set up to not check images on loadup. That way i can keep the imagesopen in tabs. Close Opera, reopen, and do whatever. The images will stay there, always loaded from cache.

Very helpful while i browse 4chan, open shit in background tabs, and then save them to disk at my leisure. Even if it's weeks from when i opened them. As long as i don't clean the cache.
