question about Azureus

The torrent dl status icon never turns green ever since I entered this college with my laptop. Also, the P2P program shuts down from 12 to 4 pm. Is there any program to ignore the fire wall or any sorts of restriction from the connection provider?

The range of network ports that the client opens sockets on. For example, TCP port 80 is used for HTTP (web browsers). Try changing the port range used by your BT client to something high, like 20000-20050. Bittorrent has default ports, and your university might be throttling the bandwidth on them.
