FTP Server

I need to have access to a few computers to get files and change directories and stuff like that. I have tried out RealVNC as an alternitive to using a ftp server but its very unresponsive.

So I am looking for some ftp server recomendations. Dosent matter if it is not free, but if it is it wouldent hut.

I tried a few lately, seems its not too common to have one that has the option for it to start when the computer does and minimize it to the system tray ><
