Haven't tried it myself so I can't report on how well it works. But give it a go and report back here to let everyone (all five of us) know how it went.

Ok so I found where I could install web mail and what not. But how do you get it to install to Thunderbird and not firefox?

Ok so nevermind about how to install the extensions.
So I got hotmail to work...but it does not support msn. Phooey. I like Thunderbirds style. I also don't think you can have two accounts with this extension. Like a yahoo and a hotmail.
Last Q does it support G-Mail?

Also to report about it..
If you have folders in Hotmail Thunderbird will not get those messages...just the ones in your inbox.

gmail lets you access via POP, so i don't see why thunderbird wouldn't support it.

What you say!! An email program designed for POP servers supports a POP-based email system?! Will wonders never cease?

Ok wow Gmail has a nice step by step instructions w/pictures on how to do it for thunderbird. If I could get MSN e-mail with thunderbird I would be set !
Also, with the hotmail it downloads all your junkmail into the one inbox folder. So thats kinda lame..

How is that trolling? It was just a sarcastic retort to a response to a question that was never asked. The op never asked how to get an EXISTING Hotmail account working in T'bird, not what webmail provider to sign up with to get POP access. Moron.
