Can ISPs disable functionality with routers they don't officially support? The reason I ask is because I have had to get replacements for my router from my ISP three times now, they told me the first two were refurbished and the third was new but this one has died as well. I have an old model they used to support and it works fine and has for two years now, and this newer model dies and dies and dies.
