Need Help!

Ok, so my computer was running fine, nothing out of the ordinary went wrong or such. I left for a few hours to do things around the house, the norm and all. Come back and start the internet and I get a few error messages I hadn't seen before, didn't really bother to read them either cause I didn't think anything of them. Couldn't start a few programs after they messed up so I restart my computer thinking it just needs to be restarted and such well that wasn't the case, I get it to restart but it wont boot into windows, it just gives me a blue screen with something saying something about boot disk missing or something...does anyone know what this is or what I can do to fix it without reformatting, I have some important pictures of the family on the drive and I'd really like not to lose them. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

No idea how to help you since you've given no information at all, but when I was running Windows one time and it got corrupted I was able to save my photos by downloading Knoppix using a friend's computer and send my files over the network so I could format safely.

BartPE is also handy for this.  Especially nice for people who know crap about Linux.

Sounds like someone took a skinny dump on your computer.

Don't change these.
