VirtualDub Mod problems

I was trying to play a certain file on VirtualDub Mod when I got this message:

Couldent locate decompressor for formate 'MP42'. VirtualDub requires Video for Windows compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used for windows media player, are not suitible

Then when I try to play the file all I get is the sound. I have all the lastest ffshow codecs installed already but I still get the same message. What should I do?

Set ffdshow to handle that codec? Go to the codec list from within virtualdub, configure ffdshow, and check mp42.
