Smelling computer

I heard someone developed a computer that can detect different smells.  Is there any more info on this?

There has been equipment for recognizing the chemical constituents of stuff for ages. People have developed equipment that measures odors for things like the chemical industry and even winemaking. This is hardly a new thing.

Wher would I look it up?  Is there a name for this field?
