IE problem

Certian portions of certain websites (Amazon.com, Allmusic, Washinton Mutual website, etc.) cuase an error message to pop up, forcing me to close IE. This happens consistantly on the same pages on the same sites. Sometime the window doesnt even close and I have to restart my computer in order to close the window. What should I do?

Also, I seem to have the MyDoom virus, though I doubte that has anything to do with this issue. Anyone know how to get rid of it without having to edit the registry file?

Surely you can predict the answer to this one.

The solution to your IE problem is Firefox.
The solution to your virus problem is Linux.

I'm looking for a solution that isn't so drastic, so no.

I'd rather not try something so drastic, so no

maybe you should scan for and get rid of all virii, trojan, worms, spyware on your system first. I don't know why you would live something like that on your system.

I have, with various diffrent anti-spyware and anti-virus programs.

without having to edit the registry file?

WTF? You surf websites and are savvy enough to know about viruses and spyware, but are afraid to open regedit? Even for a virus?

BTW, when you run antivirus and antispyware programs, make sure to disable the system restore service first.

And do all the scanning in safe mode.

Don't change these.
