Is there a way to replace/fix my ctfmon.exe file without reinstalling all of Windows? Whenever I try to open pretty much anything that would use the language bar, or something else that it would try and handle in the background, a blank command prompt always pops up, does nothing, and then says that CTF Loader needs to close down. This happens all the time now, and I'm looking for the best way to fix this garbage.

Find it in the .cab files on your Windows CD. It depends on which version you have as to which .cab file it resides in, but the files are usually grouped by type (.dll, .exe, etc.), and then in alphabetical order, so just keep looking.
google "remove ctfmon.exe" and try to get to the microsoft.com page that tells you how. I forget what is involved other then unregistering it with regsvr32 via command prompt but it worked.
