If you're looking to remove the iTunes DRM there are better ways than converting the audio from digital to analogue and back to digital again. JFGI.

Don't use iTunes or anything with DRM anyways. DRM is for fags, this is my policy: once a file's in my computer, it's MINE, period. I can copy (for my own use), edit, and jerk off to it. That's why I hate DRM, PDFs, and all these pieces of shit corporations invest millions developing just fo fuck end-users in the ass and piss end-geeks off.

I used to know someone on IRC who cracked the DRM on iTunes he downloaded, and could play them in Winamp and distribute them and everything. That was kinda fun.

It's perhaps neat, but supporting DRM with purchase is evil. As >>5 stated the file should be yours to do with as you like.
Also removing DRM protection might be illigal where you live.
