So what is the difference between DDR2-DIMM, SDRAM-DIMM, DDR-DIMM and so on? How do I know which one to choose, or can I choose any?

I can't be bothered to explain.

Your motherboard can only accept one kind of memory. It also requires memory of a specific speed. There should've come some information with your computer.

In increasing order of speeditude: SDRAM, DDR, DDR2.
Fast RAM is important for the size of your e-penis on the internets, also playing games.

The one I'm currently using does that. Shame I don't have any DDR to put in it!

Most boards like that can only accept one or the other at any given time though right?
