Your motherboard can only accept one kind of memory. It also requires memory of a specific speed. There should've come some information with your computer.

Actually, one of my old boards is an A7A266, which will accept either SDRAM or DDR.

The one I'm currently using does that. Shame I don't have any DDR to put in it!

Most boards like that can only accept one or the other at any given time though right?
