computer building tutorial

I'm interested in building my own computer.  Does anyone know any good tutorials/guides describing what I should look for in buying parts and putting it together and everything that isn't the first random thing they found on google?  Or should getting some book from the bookstore be better?

Get an A+ certification, only to realize you've wasted money on something you could have easily learned yourself.
