trouble with .mkv files

Name: Haya-kitty !c7Hz/u3Rbw 2005-02-10 13:08

This is a problem I've had for a long time, but have never been able to resolve it. Anyway, the problem is that whenever I try and play an .mkv file, the subtitles overlap each other (I would post a screencap of it, but I dont know how to enable subtitle tracks when using Virtualdub Mode ). I've downloaded and installed the VSFilter, installed the Matroska Pack, and tried fiddling with the subtitle settings in ffshadow, but the subs still overlap each other or run off the screen. What can I do to solve this?
