i just installed opera and its all japanese

is there any chance to turn it back to english?

No.

If you installed it and it's in Japanese, that probably means you downloaded the Japanese version. Go back to opera.com and download the English version, foo'. You can also download language packs from there so Opera can switch between multiple languages.
