I have googled the hell out of the matter, and I still can't find the solution. I'm starting to come to the conclusion my router is faulty. Anyways, I have a D-Link 704p router, I set up a static IP, went into the virtual server and opened port 6881, and nothing changed (I turned off the firewall when checking). One time, I managed to open a port thought. Same one, 6881, but I'm not sure how, I went throught the same song and dance and nothing worked, but then (weeks later maybe) I left the computer on to do it's downloading through Bittorrent, and when I woke up, I saw green smily faces. Then I switched internet providers, and obiously I had to change somethings around, and now it doesn't listen again. Any thoughts? If it changed anything, my ISP gave me a "SpeedStream" modem.

Open non default ports.
I've not had a d-link router in ages but there's usually a field starting port and ending port right? Set in the ports you want to open into those fields. Then in your torrent client set those same ports as your start and finishing ones.
Also, get a linksys router, they're so much easier to configure and fiddle with. Check out www.portforward.com (I'm sure you have already but what the hell, eh?)

I tried to use a random port number, I chose 4634, and it still didn't work. But what do you mean by the field starting port? I can only open one port at a time (as you can see at portforward.com). Anyways, I'm thinking of just getting a Linksys router anyways, which one is best on a low budget?

oh, hmmm...
I thought that dlink allowed a range to open now.
