What i try and load Vampire Hunter 2 (or any ROM file that I've download from ROMnation) using MAME, the game doesnt load becuase the files dont get found. What should I do?

ROMnation's ROMs are mostly intended for slightly older versions of MAME than the current releases, so things like filenames and dumps have changed on a number of games. Also, make sure you've got the common system ROMs for your games - Vampire Hunter 2, for example, is a CP-S II (Capcom Play System 2) based game, so requires the CP-S II BIOS (cpzn2.zip). For all ROMnation's usefulness, its MAME ROMs are ridiculously outdated. You're better off downloading a current, complete and checked set through Bittorrent and using a BT client that allows selective downloading to get the ROMs you want. Or if you want to try fixing the problem manually, Google for the file that MAME complains is missing.

There is no "CPS2 BIOS". Unlike many cartridge-based systems, CPS2 boots directly into the program on the cartridge--the mainboard has no ROM whatsoever.
cpzn2.zip is the BIOS for ZN2, one of the many PSX-based arcade platforms.
