So, as im sure some of you already know, the torrent supersource we knew as Suprnova.org has fallen. Apparently it's down for good.
So i ask you, the 4channers, in your infinite wisdom (and stupidity):
where do you go now for YOUR torrent supersource. (note, i dont count hongfire as a supersource, it caters only to anime mostly)
www.isohunt.com includes IRC and CD-Covers as well. Suprnova, while awesome, was overrated.

although thepiratebay.org is probably going to be raided by heavily armed MPAA commandos within the next week or so, it's not bad. And it has an RSS feed :)

you lease servers on non-berne signatories land, certain offshore island chains are quite popular for this purpose
but i'd be suprised if sweden allows the mpaa to bully thepiratebay offline, if they could have done it... it would have been tried already

Not signing Berne isn't enough; being a member of the WTO (the TRIPs treaty) is enough for it to be illegal, from what I know. And almost everyone is a member of the WTO.
what we need to do is setup some huge ship offshore with some massive satteliet connection and offer hosting for warez, and since it's in international waters....no laws are broken...
Or, if that plan has some flaws....setup some donation thing, and get enough cash to buy a small island somehwere, and do it there...since its private property, and not part of any country/treaty, and no government...i dont think they can touch us... or can they?
I wonder how much a small island goes for.. *checks ebay*

If you're going to go to such lengths, why not just _buy_ the damn software?
Oh, right. Others will pay for the island. You'll just leech.
internet is a giant piracy engine, it always has been...
and will continue to be... crackdowns come and go
and it may be illegal to run trackers in many places, but rarely is it prosecuted
enforcement is the problem they have, not legal loopholes in this country or that territory

There's always Sealand. Or that one city (in Africa, I think) with unrestricted internet.

You just watch the U.S. send commandos to your island and leave no one alive. And if the U.S. doesn't do it, pirates will. Not the computer kind. The eye-patch kind.

It's about a vision for the future. It may take a lot of effort in the present, but once it becomes reality, it will create a better Internet society for our children, and our children's children.
