Well, the boobie part was pretty low-profile for all the sakuga hype.
Okay, Bones is not KyoAni who loves to put an incredible amount of work in such trivial things but it should be possible to deliever more than mouth fapping and barely animated background characters.

It's just 10 minutes. Of course the best parts are in the second part. And the short "action" scene looks good for what it is.
The 10 minute Space Dandy preview was pretty funny.
Gosei Oda did a good job on the 10 minute preview.
But I had seen his shots in all the trailers before, it was still good.
I would suggest those who haven't seen anything yet to wait until the full episode is out.
It's definitely a lot more fun to watch the episode with opening, all action scenes and the ending.
The main sakuga is never in the first 10 minutes of any show.
Although I really liked Oda's part, what the matter with you guys?!

The 10 min preview from Space Dandy had way too many stills and static, fucking anime with their low budget and tight production (I thought Space Dandy had enough of that though), but still more than all episodes of KLK together. And it looks great for the content.
Now I must watch some western cartoon.

I for one am glad the background aliens are static hand-drawn instead of moving ugly CG creatures.

Because all the action is in the second part, that's why. Just wait.

1800 cels, what the fuck!
That's interesting, he technically broke Ohira's 1000 drawings record.
♦ Ohira drew a record-breaking 1000 drawings for a single cut in A-Ko, with as many as 14 layers, which was rejected as impossible to film ♦ http://www.pelleas.net/animators/#19
Back then it was impossible to put these amount of cels and drawings on film, but today it's not an issue I guess since it's all digital.
lel, even if you count this on over 50 animators, it will still not reach the fucked up number that Suzuki claimed on Kaguya Hime. 500k drawings right?
You would need over 300 Bahi's for Kaguya Hime to reach Suzuki's number.
I guess the 1800 cels were not in the first half of the first episode.

When you end up animating all frames by yourself and using many layers, it's understandable to have over 1000 drawings.
Iso, Okiura and Inoue probably draw that much too, but I think they don't use more than 2 layers, so the cels would drop to 400 per episode.
I'm just guessing, I haven't checked many timesheets by sakuga animators.
I guess regular key-posing animators use around 50 cels or less.
