Look closely at her sleeves, see how they don't fold?
That's why people complain that Takeuchi's characters feel like plastic.
It's illogical how the sleeves don't fold down when she raises her arm.
Totally wrong motion for that material, but I don't mind as long as it's well animated.
These are the characteristics of his style.

What do you mean?
It's a fact that her sleeves don't fold, what's your problem?

I hope this succeeds and kills KyoAni. Chuunishit can go die in a fire. This studio is terrible now and they let a guy with no directorial talents handle a damn show.

Fuck KyoAni
Fuck Ishidate
Kigami should leave KyoAni and start a new studio. Fucking cancer.

Kigami should join Ordet but it doesn't seem like he want to work in Tokyo anymore.

Ordet
I don't think anyone wants to join a studio with a skeleton crew of animators.

Even the idol shorts are consistently good. Is Miku Kadowaki still the Chief AD for these shorts?

how ironic, he was fired by Ghibli.

I don't understand the comparison with Miyazaki, there is nothing in a Hosoda film that resembles anything from Ghibli or Miyazaki.

I like Hosoda, but not as a Miyazaki follower.

Every anime director that starts targeting mainstream audiences will necessarily be compared to Miyazaki because there's no other possible way of building hype for them.

The two ex-KyoAni animators that joined Ufotable a few years ago have been missing lately.
I wonder if they worked on this film.

AFAIK, the last thing they're credited in was Summon Night 5.
Masashi Tsuji did key animation. Yuichi Itou was an assistant director.
