Those are screenshots from the Petit Film that was just published. It's speculated that they are rough or discarded storyboard panels from the 4th film since they kinda look like it (you see Rei, Asuka and Sinji wandering among ruins and stuff like that). BUt again, they're just rumored to be storyboard scans. It could all be a red herring or some discarded sketches or whatever.

Just passing by to ask: why was this posted here? It's not "animation". If that's animation than every physicist, computer scientist and mathematician working with physics simulations is an animator. That's only interesting insofar as you like math passed through a number cruncher. And I like math, I really do, but mathematics and animation and two different things.

Honestly, if you're going to animate on a computer in the first place, realistic animation has to be as mathematical as possible; reality is understood through math anyway.

He literally only animated 3 cuts for Apollon which are not even 10 seconds long.
