 > The producers won't let anyone do something like this
I think you are wrong.

Masahiko Minami (Space Dandy producer):

“Anything is fine as long as there’s spaceships.”

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:27

>“Anything is fine as long as there’s spaceships.”

SHITHEAD FUCKING ACTION!!!!.........with SPACESHIPS!

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:28

Space Dandy is getting too much hype.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:28

Kill La Kill hype

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:29

Kill La Kill will be the best

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:30

Kill La Kill and Space Dandy are going to fail at all of you.
Nothing is going to save sakuga nor anime.

It's over, anime is dead.

Did anyone watch Kaze Tachinu?

Thomas Romain about Bahi's Space Dandy cuts
https://twitter.com/Thomasintokyo/status/366729935215263746

His cuts are awesome. Never saw an exposure sheet like that. Too many drawings!

The young generation of animators is too weak, there are no great youngsters to be found.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:40

>>369
The more hype I get, the more I will be disappointed if his work doesn't fulfill my expectations.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:45

>>371
Here is some more hype for you.

Yutaka Nakamura about Bahi's Space Dandy cuts:

バヒ君の作画、ものすごいことになってるので、そちらも是非、楽しみにしててください!

Translation?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:48

>>369
I don't think Bahi's cut will be bad, but Thomas Romain should talk about the cuts from Yutapon. Unless he hasn't seen it.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:49

>>372
Drawing of Bahikun, because it supposed to be terrible, by all means, please look forward to also there!

Thank you google.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:53

>>372
What are they talking about? The whole conversation.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 9:54

>>373

He says Bahi's sakuga is "monosugoi".
Monosugoi can have different meanings depending on the context.

It can mean, "fucking terrible" or it can mean "fucking awesome"

Monosugoi: earth-shattering; staggering; to a very great extent; terrible; frightful

>>375
lol

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 10:02

>>377
Monosugoi is used to describe something massive, hyperactive, huge, destructive, earth-shattering or staggering.

As example, when the universe explodes, you say it was monosugoi.

"Animating is not just drawing, it's film making." - Bahi

"you are not just a tool to visualize the directors vision" - Bahi

and then suddenly
"Animators are not drawing/animation machines" - Sushio

You can feel the Bahi era has begun.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 12:13

>>382
You sure it's not just Sushio cracking under the pressure of working on KLK?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 12:38

Sushio's frustrated because he wants to draw MomocloZ but Imaishi won't let him.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 14:19

what is the view of sakugabros on live action reference

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 14:35

Imaishi is putting too much pressure on Sushio.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 15:01

Poor Sushio. But so it will be perfect.

>Looks like Se Jun Kim will be working on Gundam BF.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 15:38

Sushio probably means:

"I'm sick and tired of Imaishi's slavery"

Did Kobayashi tweet anything about Kill La Kill?
He is usually very harsh to his co-workers, I want to know his opinion about the project.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 15:40

>>385
Necessary and practical? How can you make believable animation if you don't know how actual reality works?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 15:42

Can someone link me the tweet where Osamu Kobayashi confirms that he's working on Kill La Kill?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 15:51

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 16:13

>>391

they didnt make a conference, big deal.

i would have been more worried had the kickstarter project failed, which is thankfully not true

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 16:40

>>392
But kickstarter was funded by the west and not Japan. And if Japan don't like LWA, which is worse enough, than there is a chance they won't like Kill la Kill too.
Fucking Otakus.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 17:12

blaming Japan for etc

This is getting so old and annoying. And LWA fans are quite the annoying bunch as well. If I had more tangencies with them before I wouldn't have thrown $150 on that kickstarter.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 17:14

hey won't like Kill la Kill too

Good. I hope Utena: Shonenshit edition bombs so hard the sun goes black. I'm so sick of the hype for this series no amount of good animation will be able to bleach my eyes clean of the hate.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 17:15

Yes, it's buyer's remorse. But still, fuck you.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 17:17

I think the problem today is the marketing.
No one knows about little witch fucking academia in Japan.
Only Otakus know about anime these days and that's the problem. Bring anime to normal social people and everything will be fine.

But still crazy how they only sold 94 tickets.
Maybe the tickets were fucking expensive.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 17:19

Little Witch Academia would have been successful if it was also marketed to kids instead of animation otakus.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 17:19

>>397
2000 yen is not expensive.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-12 17:20

Everyone was just talking about the animation quality of LWA, no one gave a fuck about the story or the characters, I don't think it will be so successful.

But that discussion is not for this thread.
