New Recommendations List

To deal with the newfags on /co/ asking what they should read we already have several recommendations lists. Unfortunately, the majority of what's listed can be a bit intimidating to someone only casually interested. I mean, Bone(55 issues plus spin-offs) Invincible(60+ issues and counting), and Transmetropolitan(60 issues plus specials) are all great series' and worthy of reading, but can be a bit much for someone newly curious about comics. So a new list, containing only short series' that can be read in a day or two, is needed.

I'm thinking we should keep it to under 13 issues. It can also be an arc, but please give specific issue numbers.

Nextwave(Marvel) - 12 issues of insanity and awesome.

Superman: Red Son(DC) - 3 issues. Explores what would have happened if Superman had landed in Soviet Russia instead of Kansas.

the point is that the comics will keep them occupied for a while.

the length of the series doesn't matter as long as it's quality work. a long series isn't daunting, it's wonderful not having to wait for new issues.
