I need to ask, because the trolls above us are starting to get on my nerves. But I need to know the route of the matter. How did this "I remember when /co/ was love" bullshit began anyways?

Does anyone else like the show 6teen?
I personally do, fuck the haters and the trolls above in /co/.
I remember when they loved it.

It started right about when you started browsing

At the very beginning /co/ was a fairly positive board where people could talk about cartoons and comics without being trolled to death. It seems like everything started to change when a tsunami of Avatar posts would take up the front page EVERY day. It was still fairly positive, but it wasn't long before that began to change.

It still is fairly positive. There seems to be a cycle of /co/ initiation. An influx of morons come storming in, abiding the rules they've learned in /b/ and /v/. Slowly they realize how /co/ operates and assimilate. We have a few months of peace and fun. Same thing happens next summer. It would be nice if the better posters weren't pushed away into Plus, which is awesome but too slow.

Still is positive. New people come, act like /b/, learn how /co/ does things, and become better posters. Assimilation. We have a few months of peace, then next Summer it starts all over again.

It never occurred to me that this was a viable explanation for that sort of cycle that I'd noticed. I think you're probably right, a lot of people from the nastier 4chan boards come in and muck up the place, until they realize that /co/ really IS a more chill place and eventually settle in.
I find that /co/ is usually love the later in the day you read. Around three to four AM, it's only /co/mrades doing storytime or having pretty good (if slow paced) discussion.

I'd say it's generally 11-2 AM EST is when /co/ is at its best.

/co/'s really gone to shit with all the Scott Pilgrim troll threads. I'll be gone for a week, I just hope to god things get better when I return.
