Simpsons has always been the most original & most entertaining. Futurama sets a good setting & goes with it well. Family Guy can't do situational humor & has to to flashbacks every 5 seconds.

What's wrong with you cunts? Family Guy is a terrible show about a bunch of completely undeveloped characters who make poor jokes with no timing.

I'll admit that I didn't like Family Guy at first, but after watching a few episodes, it began to grow on me . . . and before I knew it, I had become an ENORMOUS fan.  When most shows do super crude humor, they fall flat on their fucktard faces, but Family Guy is one of those shows that just makes it work perfectly.  I think this is due to a combination of things:  the voice-over artists' flawless delivery, the characters' facial expressions, something about the peculiarly smooth and rapid quality of the Family Guy animation, and above all . . . the clever writing!  Yes, that's right!  You can be crude as drunken, shit-penised pirate buggerman and make it funny if you're smart enough!  And that is what Family Guy is to me:  a shit-penised pirate buggerman with a Ph.D. in crude comedy.

But I do like Futurama better, if only by a little bit.  Futurama of course, has a whole 'notha comedic style altogether.  As for The Simpsons . . . well, The Simpsons hasn't NOT greedily guzzled gorilla dog water for about three years or so.  It doesn't have anything to do with the basic setup, as earlier episodes are still extremely funny.  It's the fault of the new generation of writers.  They're all a bunch of young, dumb fuckfaces who -- you're gonna hate me saying this because it's going to sound REAAAL trite -- were raised by the TV and don't ever read or think.  Yeah, it IS trite, but it's true.  Ya gotta be thoughtful, introspective, extrospective and just flat-out clever to write good TV, and watching TV alone -- regardless of what is watched -- doesn't foster that.  I think that Futurama, Family Guy, South Park, and episodes of the Simpsons pre-Fall were written by thoughtful, *reading* people who were probably mostly over 30.

What do you guys think about this?
