The Hulk has been subjected to extreme temperatures before, and he has escaped. Being tossed into the Sun, there's nothing to hold onto, and he'll just sink into hotter and hotter layers until he's completely turned into plasma. The interior of the Sun contains much hotter material than the interior of a volcano, anyway.
If you could somehow get the Hulk deeply enough buried in lava, that might work, however.
