Not superhero, not fantasy, not crime, not drama, not romance, not 'slice-of-life', not historical, not sensationalistic reality.

Just something actual, genuine, truthful - so long as the character's personalities could plausibly occur. I am not talking about the art especially, but the storyline. I have never read an American comic but Transmetropolitan.
