Ultimate Avengers DVD

I just got this, and I must say that I am pleasently surprised. The animation was pretty decent, the action scenes superb, and the music  rocked. My only complains are the sucky voice action (with some exceptions), and that the movie went a little too fast and the plot a little too thin for my liking. I mean, the villains (the Chitauri/Skrull aliens) were nothing more than RARGH EVIL ALIENS, c'mon I need a little more than that. But hey, as a Hulk fan I love seeing  the Avengers getting their ass kicked, and I got that in spades.

Marvel's animation efforts haven't been exactly stellar for the most part (especially compared with DC's), but I think this film is a pretty good start.

The Hulk vs Avengers was the best fight of the movie.  (Spoiler) When Hulk picked up Mjolnir, that was a definite "FUCK NO" moment.

But, generally, the movie felt a little empty.  A closer adaptation of the comics would have been appreciated; if they're allowing a PG-13 rating, then work for it.  I love Marvel comics... but DC cartoons still win, and JLU is much better than this movie.  Then again, the first season of justice league wasn't much better than this; perhaps it'll grow beautifully.  Maybe they'll make an Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon :D

Not sure, does Ultimate Mjolnir have the "No unworthy living being can lift the hammer" on it? I don't recall it being mentioned abywhere.

ONLY Thor is worthy enough to lift Mjolnir. Or so the comic books go. But I have to to agree with >>2.

Fuck the Hulk.

I know, but that's for 616 Thor. Ultimate Thor is different story, as it's not evene a sure thing that he is a Norse God, or just a superpowered crazy hippie.

Its >>4, I have to agree with you. Ultimate Thor is not the same as the old comic book Thor. But still, I think that the Hulk lifting the Mjolnir was uncalled for.

The latest issue of Ultimates shows another dude (Ultimate Vanguard perhaps?) using Thor's Hammer. So I guess the answer is no, Ultimate Mjolnir doesn't have such enchantment.

Plenty of people besides Thor managed to hold Mjolnir, both in continuity and "what if" kind of stories. From the top of my head: Captain America, Odin, Storm, Beta Ray Bill, Crusader (the daughter of Cap America and Rogue), Woden (Thor's son), Wonder Woman, and Superman.

Based on what I've seen from the comic and game.....can you say "EGG HEAD"? >:)

That's so nerdy I have to find back issues.

Don't change these.
