Boondocks on [AS]

Is it me, or does the animation style reek of Marathon studios (They're the frenchies who do Totally Spies and Martin Mystery)?
Is it cheaper there or something? Whatever happened to just shipping it out to Korea?

I say that a lot of these haters here are so mad that the first really good american (in colaboration with japanese animators)  show done in anime style which is actually really good was the brain child of an intelligent black man. The thing came outa its hummble beginigs as a newspaper comic strip and is takes America by storm. Awwww, sorry to all the poor ignorant sobs out there. Anime is a style of animation, and it's best when done by Japanese.
If there's one thing black can't do besides make good music, it's anime.

The Boondocks is a great show that "in my opinion" (everyone is entitled to one) shows that intelligence never varies on your race. Huey and Riley are two sides of a coin. Huey has inside intelligence via books, internet information, and worthy political views. Riley is a common view of what "anyone" may expect from a black child raised in the hood.....a young thug/punk with little-to-no potential to change his ghetto ways. The show doesn't bring down any races at all or specifically. It exploits many truths about all people in society instead in terms of racial views. Yes, many black people act dumb (hood thugs >_>;)...however there are many smart black people. This same thing applies to all other races. The animation is very good on this show and I see no need for improvement because the characters are detailed and all portrayed beautifully based on their backgrounds. The term "Niggermation" is harsh, hateful and uncalled for. This is anime! American Anime! Japanese anime usually either have a mainstream story or no story at all depending on the genre. I have seen many entertaining animes with great stories but VERY few deliver things close to reality. Unlike many fictional animes from Japan at least this delivers 1st rate comedy (many are puns) with a slice of realty (kinda like GTO). For those who can't seem to find the puns, you are either close minded or very UNinformed of the world around you. The excessive use of the N-word (with a igga) is just a way of showing that it IS a very commonly used word in the lower-side of the black community. This show still pwns! "All my 5/5 are belong to this!".....and if you didn't understand my last quote, in offense to the ones that hate the Boondocks because of racist views on blacks....Suck My Wang!

Boondocks is a great show regardless of what people say. Quality speaks for itself. Immature, racist and stupid children may have things to say, but those things are not important. So ignore such comments. And I'll say it again. Ignorance is a damn shame.

BTW Boondocks is sweet.  I remember thinking about how the transition from comic to TV show might be hard for this type of comedy, but they seem to have nailed it.  One of the best shows on AS, probably up there with Venture Bros and 12 Oz.  I would discuss why I like 12  Oz for all the people who hate it out there, but this is a Boondocks thread so....

I fucking love this show. To paraphrase what >>16 said, "normal people don't like niggers". This most likely goes without saying, especially considering the audience of this site: however, I consider myself to not be a racist to the point where it will not matter one bit to me whether my boss, my customers, my friends, family members, teachers, students, or anyone I interact with in general society is black or Hispanic or Asian or whatever. That doesn't matter to me. However, I do detest the "culture" of the Black youth in America today. The episode with Martin Luther King Jr. hit the nail right on the fucking head, with the admittedly cliche "what did the civil rights activists fight for and how are they being repayed" angle.

I consider myself to be a situational racist. From the standpoint of doing what I have to do, dealing with people every day at work and as I go about my business, I have (as I mentioned above) no problem whatsoever what the other party's race is. However, when I'm with my friends or when I'm talking to myself or when I'm posting on an internet forum populated by anime nerds and academics, I freely and openly divulge my hatred of niggers. Niggers of all races, at that. For Chrissakes, I am white and live in a trailer park right now. I fucked up in college and am trying to earn my way back, and in the meantime I'm stuck in a fucking trailer in the middle of nowhere. And the people I see living in the park next to me are downright filthy. There's some niggers living here, white niggers and black niggers. And I hate them. I don't even associate with my neighbors.

To that end, and for the sake of a laugh, I identify with the character of Uncle Ruckus. I laugh at his jokes of "get your banana-peelin' hands off my stuff" or whatever he said (I marathoned the series all night into this morning), mostly in incredulity of the things that he says on cable television (no FCC governance, I know, but still!), but also to say, "Wow, I've been saying the same fucking thing to myself for the past ten years." About those fucking apes, hoarding their shining gold with the veracity of a crow, and the typical "urban music" sounds to me like they're dancing around a bonfire in Uganda trying to make rain.

To that end, I consider myself a racist. Honestly, I think it stemmed from me spending too much time on the internet. However, I don't let it affect the way I conduct myself outside of my own house. I have the utmost respect for someone of color who can rise above the stereotypes and prove his worth in a society that promotes unintelligence and gross materialism. Of course the "typical black man from the streets" would accuse such a person as being "white", however I am of the belief that when one is in Rome, he should do as the Romans do. In this society, those who are uneducated are forced through the process of social Darwinism to live out the span of their generations until they can produce offspring that are able to ascend to the next level and fucking make something of themselves.

It sounds Victorian, like Flatland almost. But it makes a ton of sense.

I have a bunch of friends who are black and I don't think of them any differently than I think of my white friends. However on the side I do joke around.

Is it nice? No. Is it acceptable in a large crowd in public? No. Do I treat people of other colors than I differently because I happen to think that an uneducated man is the scum of the earth? No, unless I'm dealing with them. And even then I won't say anything to their face, I'll just kind of keep my distance.

No one said everyone who posts here is white, or even that every white person who posts here is a racist or anything of the likes.
