Above quotations should be taken in jest. When I'm dealing with individual people, I will show them the same amount of respect regardless of the color of their skin. I have a bunch of friends who are black and I don't think of them any differently than I think of my white friends. However on the side I do joke around.
Is it nice? No. Is it acceptable in a large crowd in public? No. Do I treat people of other colors than I differently because I happen to think that an uneducated man is the scum of the earth? No, unless I'm dealing with them. And even then I won't say anything to their face, I'll just kind of keep my distance.
In my opinion, as long as you don't let it affect the way you treat other living human beings, you should be allowed to say and think and write whatever the fuck you want.
Note that I consider myself to be a situational racist. That part where I mentioned Uncle Ruckus? Yeah, I think he's disgusting. I was absolutely shocked to find that they would dare to air someone that says the filth that he says on television, broadcast or cable. However, I can't help but laugh at the things he says, because I make the same jokes - I just don't live my life according to them.
I guess you could look at it this way: I'm not really a racist, I just play one on the internet.
