The REAL Ghostbusters.

Well I just downloaded random 24 eps from the series and am in the process of downloading season 1.

I have to say this was a REALLY well done cartoon from the 80's. Quality and entertament wise. Watching the dvds of the TMNT 80's series, you could see fuck ups. Like Poorly looped animation, wrong colors, bad edits in some places and voices coming from the wrong characters. However Ghostbusters, the animation is nice and clean. They dont seem to use cheap animation tricks,It just stays solid. Story wise its pretty good, alot of orginality. The voice acting was great to. but I really cant say TMNT sucks all around,Ghostbusters wasnt as insanely popular as TMNT was. So I'm sure the networks wernt pushing and demanding eps faster. Plus as time went on they cleaned up TMNT. but Still I'm impressed by the pure quality. I guess because it was a product of Sony, and Sony always delivers quality.

It's because they use asian slave animators that work for 5 cents a day

This always confused me when I was a child. "But how can they be the REAL Ghostbusters, it's CLEARLY a cartoon!"

cause there was an anime called Ghostbusters too?

It was another cartoon. I think Filmation made it.

Didn't they try to bring it back with 'Ghostbusters Xtreme' or something?

Yeah, New XTREME TEENZ doing the busting of the ghosts. It had a guy in a wheelchair, fer christ's sake. I can't imagine the show lasted any longer than one season.

The Ghostbusters cartoon did have a few animation slip ups actually. Off the top of my head one of Peter's walking animations was TERRIBLE in the episode with the television demon.

Two seasons. About 50% of the shows were watchable, and they had one episode where they reunited most of the original voice actors (except Peter since he's, ya'know, dead)
