Dude, The Batman is the best cartoon that has come from the batman series. Every character has a new design and most of them actually fit the character better.

Bull. They dropped Batman during shipment and chin got chipped.
>the deal with RASTAFARIAN JOKER!?
"Can we put him in more of a "hip-hop" context?"
"Forget context, he's gotta be a surfer. Give me a nice shmear of surfer."
"I feel we should rastafy him by ... ten percent or so."

I'm not talking about batman, i'm talking about the villians. Each one looks completly different and each look actually fits there character, Bane is a good example. I dont get how you can say the joker looks like a Rastafarian. He's white for one, he's in a fucking straight jacket, he doesnt have dreads at all. The only resemblence at ALL to a rastafarian is the colors on his straightjacket. Joker actually looks insane and acts insane now, instead of just a devious loser who alwase got the shit beat out of him in the other series.

You honestly believe that Clayface and The Penguin are better in the current animated series? I weep for your mind.

Personality wise they're actually not too different, it's just that the new Clayface was an absolute pussy beforehand, so he was a pussy when he started. He's getting better/closer to the original slowly. His creation and descent to madness seemed pretty forced though. Why couldn't he simply just do the crimefighting gig like Batman? Penguin really sucks though, he's too...strong? They give him too many action sequences, it's like the Buzz Bunny version of Penguin. Batman's never really had any trouble with ol' Pengy before in a fight, it's been his traps or his henchmen. Also, the two speechless Japanese chicks with blades were totally out of character.
What the hell's up with Catwoman's space goggles while I'm on this? A lot of the designs seem to start off well but then some retarded move at the last moment botches'em.

I think those 'space goggles' perfectly fit her sneaking character. But back to clayface, having seen the episode where he comes into The Batman, i can say that this perfectly fits his character and although i was a bit mad at first that he was a whiney cop, his character quickly started to change. He realised that he couldnt just 'be a cop' anymore and had to do something about it. I would imagine turning into a slimey glob of goo who has a hard time keeping his shape would turn you into a madman, and at the end of the episode they show that he is pretty much a madman.

Ze Goggles have been comic canon for awhile. Since at least Hush, probably before as well.

Darwyn Cooke designed it a few years ago for her comic/character relaunch. It's the only good costume she ever had.
