Does anybody who is a published author, or has been writing for awhile support this method? If so, have you ever used the software program
It's a ten step process to write a novel, starting with a blurb and working your way up to the full outline. The guy who made it claims you can make a novel in half the time as if you just sat down and started writing.

I have a lot of published work. Most of it is research related but some of my creative writing has been published as well.
This seems like just another gimmick to sell something to writers; it's just a basic outlining process. Whoever came up with this did a good job of simplifying it so I wouldn't count it out something to consider when drafting an outline for a novel.
When it comes down to it though there isn't a finite time for the length of a novel. If you ever write a novel to cessation you'll realize the end product is vastly different from your original outlines (I say outline plurally because 25% of the time you spend writing a piece that long ends up being incoherent drafts)
