Recently, I read the book "Kafka on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami.
I'm still kind of confused about it. I felt like it dropped off prematurely, and there were a lot of unanswered questions for me, like what was with Johnny Walker & Colonel Sanders? Who or what is the boy named crow? Where was that place he visited when he got lost in the forest? What's with the talking to cats thing, and what happened to Hoshino?
Anyone else read this book, and have some explanations?

I feel kind of stupid after reading it, because I noticed some existential philosophy stuff in there, but I don't know a lot about it, and it made me feel like I wasn't smart enough to "get" this book.

Also, Japanese books general, I suppose.

I think people will have different interpretations of this story depending not only on their level of intellect, but also the point in their lives at which they read it.

I would imagine so.

>>2 Is it as "The Catcher in the Rye (J.D Salinger)"? Depending on the individual's intellect is interpreted one way or another
