I'm looking for some good steampunk books/graphic novels to read. I just recently learned what the genre is and I have always liked movies based around it, but I'm looking for literature because I feel it would be more descriptive and create more of a picture in my head as I read. Any recommendations?

I just read The Difference Engine.  It started out kind of shit but after getting 100 pages into it or so the boring beginning began to make a little sense and it was a ripping good yarn.

Whitechapel Gods is more clockpunk but I thought it was fairly good.
