I was watching a documentary and they claimed that her works are the second most influential after the Bible. I find this rather hard to believe.

It would depend on ones definition of "influential" (which, being completely relative, no one could state as "fact"). Her work has been influential, but I'd say has effected nowhere near as many lives as the Qu'ran, Tao te Ching, or even the Book of Mormon. In terms of non-religious books, I'd say she isn't as influential as Montesquieu, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, Camus or A.A. Milne.
