Its hard to find a novel or series I like

can anyone help?

China Mieville writes some awesome fantasy, if you are into steampunk blended with western blended with occult blended with industrial revolution.
No elves or dragons or shit like that but there are multidimensional spiders who act like mad poets, moths that drink your dreams and shit LSD, deals with demons of hell and ravenous mosquito-women.

There are 3 books out, they're all good IMO

Lovecraft's stories are pretty good, even though they're all pretty much about the same thing.

Bleh, Dark tower is okay, for the first...what 3 books? Wizard and Glass though....you're gonna hate it for that, huge deviation in style and theme.

forgot to mention, didn't finish the series after wizard and glass, because I was afraid that stephen king would ruin the ending, like he always does,

inb4 every other book he's ever written

Dark Tower is fantastic, but wizard and glass was not good. He made up for it with Wolves of The Calla and the whole series took a big turn for the better after that.

and IMO, King really ended it the only way that he could, and it had somewhat of a message at the end as well. All in all, i think it was a very good series that i will read again.

Well it's not fantasy, but i have come across a lot of fantasy readers who enjoy this:

The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell.

i (until now) 5-book-long series of historical fiction, describing the history of England in the late 9th century in an extremely entertaining and exciting way.

- The Elric of Melniboné suite by Moorcock. I'm reading this now, it's awesome.
- Orcs by Stan Nicholls. Pretty good. You don't get bored.

I'm a Sci Fi reader but I started with those two and they didn't disgust me of Fantasy at all. Pretty much the contrary.

Plus, i'm only reading the french translations so if you find them in English, they should be awesome.

Don't change these.
