Getting back into reading

I used to read alot in high school. Then I went to college and picked up wow.. took all my time and interest. Now I am looking for some good books to read. Any suggestions? I don't care about genre or difficulty. Just want something good to read. I have A Brief History of Time by Steven Hawking and The Devil in the White City by Eric Larson already.

Is by many, but by rights shouldn't be. Sux. Bad story, not well written. How can a children's book be a classic?
