Atlas Shrugged

Is this a good book to start learning more about politics and how the world works? Why does it have a bad reputation amongst some readers? Is it because of its length?

It's a book for niggers and blacks.

lol, because of its length. No, it has a bad reputation for two key reasons; 1. it is based on essentially the most retarded and horrible "philosophy" ever written down
And
2. Even if the logic behind the philosophy was sound the novel itself is written incredibly poorly.

the book is good if you're a fan of the message, and it's not written poorly. i'd suggest reading the fountainhead first, as it's much shorter with basically the exact same ideology. if you dig that book and objectivism, you'll probably want to read atlas shrugged regardless of what anyone tells you.

i don't think you'll learn anything about politics or how the world works from reading ayn rand though. you might become a libertarian...

Don't change these.
