Apocalyptica

So I just finished Orwell's 1984 a few weeks ago, and I'm feeling a growing melancholy. Anyone have good suggestions for end-of-the-world-scenario novels, or post-apocalyptica? I've read SK's Dark Tower series, and while not perfect, it did capture that sense of despair I am currently feeling.

Well the big one going around right now is "The Road," if you haven't already read it its worth a read. It will fuel your despair quite adequately, and it takes a "realistic" approach to the apocalypse, or at least as close to realistic as you could get.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep- Philip K. Dick;  World War Z- Max Brooks; I am Legend- Richard Matheson.

That list is cool and everything but I need a list just like that of books that are worth reading. No way to tell if that is the case!

The Girl who owned a city was really great as a kid... not sure if it holds up but it's probably better than world war z.

I am Legend is the Orignal title, The Last Man on Earth is the first remake and it was more true to the Title.  He is a legend because he's the killer of the infected, who become more like vampires, instead of zombies.

so he learns his infamoy of being a monsters as much as he sees them.  they were thinking of all...

Don't change these.
