Poems like Beowulf?

I have a project for my English class where I have to contrast another poem or short story with Beowulf.

I have to have similar quotes from both works in each paragraph.

Any poems or short stories come to mind?

I heard that Gilgamesh is similar, but I'm not sure.

Any other national epic would work, the Iliad for example.

It'd be interesting to compare it to Wace's Roman de Brut, actually, if you can read that in time.
