I want to write a nice story, perhaps make into comic or something (should I post this on /carcom/?)...
I'd like tips on what to write about... I think a story on the real world would be hard, I'd need to research and stuff (plus I can't draw humans so well), but when I try to write fiction it gets too generic and stereotyped (either hi-fantasy, cyberpunk or space opera) or it gets really silly...
I usually start doodling characters and then think their backstories, like this she-skeleton who is a spirit avening her own death: I think it looks to silly...
Any help would be gladly welcome... Thank you... :)

If you need someone else's idea to write about, you shouldn't be writing. Sorry to be blunt, but it's true. Imagination is the well you should be dipping into, not /book/.

OP here:
Thanks, but I think I have imagination, I just think most my ideas are plain silly...
I'd like to know something about filtering bad ideas out or something like that... Or the only way is to write them and trow at the 'market' and see their response?

You just write stuff that you'd enjoy yourself. Chances are at least somebody else will like it too.

OP:
Thanks, I'll just do that, then... :)

DO NOT: write a story about a writer trying to write a story
NOBODY FUCKING CARES AND ITS WILL NO DOUBT BE TERRIBLE
but a nice cyberpunk or fantasy or something would be pretty good to play around with, after all nothing is really set in stone

who cares if the idea is silly
when you break things down most ideas are silly
take that silly idea and make it awesome

I'm guessing you only read really, really horrible books.

Just write. Don't think about publishing it or anything like that. Write a work that you're proud of without caring what anyone else thinks. Sometimes you windup going nowhere, but at least you've had a good time. Other times you get a winner and, well, there you go. Good for you. Oh, and in response to all those worries about something being "silly," here are some global classics:
Short, hairy footed people running away from an army lead by a giant eyeball while trying to destroy a gold ring.
Alien pods which kill you and assume your form while you sleep.
A giant green octopus head from beyond the stars.
And for those comic fans among us, an orphan that dresses up like a bat to fight crime.
The world of fiction is build on the silly. Just go wild and assume that if you thought it was good enough to work, someone else will to.
