So lm posting this with my rooted nook, so excuse the poor grammar/spelling.
I'm feeling rather futuristic with this thing, and was wondering what /b/ook
thinks about the current onslaught of ebook readers?

I for one welcome our new digitaly rhetorical overlords.

Also, the polorized image transitions are fucking crazy looking.

With all the new cheap netbooks, I don't think that ebook readers will manage to survive long enough to become a new hype.

Have you ever owned either devices? I have a couple netbooks and they still weigh a few pounds and are pretty bulky. Not very nice to carry around unless you have to (studies, photography, work).

On the other hand, eBook readers are very slim and weigh less than an actual book. They're very convenient for carrying around in place of a book, and remind me of the datapads from Star Trek and I always thought those were pretty cool.

Forgot to add: Give it time and they'll drop in price too.  Some of the are a lot of money still but I'd say by the end of the year you'll be able to get one for 100 dollars average.

Don't change these.
