NEW IMPROVED BOOKCLUB

Okay since BOOK CLUB pt.1 wasn't very popular [no offense Anon], how about this:

Everyone post TWO books they are interested in reading that are popular / considered classics or must reads.
After 20 posts, there is sure to be a reoccurring book.
Most popular book is chosen, three weeks will be given for Anonymous to find a copy, read it, and join the discussion in this thread.

Fuck off with Ayn Rand. She's fucking shit. Read some Pynchon, I'd say Gravity's Rainbow but I think it's beyond the grasp of many anon here. Try maybe Crying of Lot 49. Other than that I'd suggest

Lolita - Nabokov  (relatively quick read but lots to discuss)
The Corrections - Franzen (be happy it's not your family)
The Trial - Kafka (epic mind fuck)
Blood Meridian/The Road - McCarthy (Blood Meridian is probably my favorite novel evar, definitely one of the best if not the best of the century)
Crime and Punishment - Dostoesvky
