Okay since BOOK CLUB pt.1 wasn't very popular [no offense Anon], how about this:
Everyone post TWO books they are interested in reading that are popular / considered classics or must reads.
After 20 posts, there is sure to be a reoccurring book.
Most popular book is chosen, three weeks will be given for Anonymous to find a copy, read it, and join the discussion in this thread.
Sound good?
My two picks would be
Atlas Shrugged
1984
Lets do this!

Hah, and I actually got Beautiful Losers for Christmas to read for the previous one. Ah well, this is a good idea too, since we'll have more people directly involved.
My votes:
Nabokov - Lolita
Murakami - Norwegian Wood
A few notes of advice I have thought of if we are to pull this off.
1. Let's attempt to refrain from any generic school-reading books, such as most dystopia novels (1985, Brave New World, etc.). I have nothing against these great books, but I assume that we are all somewhat active readers here I assume, so we should look for something different than our high school curriculum.
2. No lengthy books. This is a new idea, and I'm sure most of us don't want to read Atlus Shrugged or War and Peace for a book club that may not even come to fruition. In general, our first book should up to 300 pages at the most.
3. The book club will need some organization once it sets off. I know we're just choosing books now, but if things come to work, we should have a relative date by which the book should be finished. Despite the date, the topic should be open for discussion by anyone who's read the book, whether they're in the club or not.
4. For some reason, this board does not have a name field, so we should be sure to identify ourselves through the e-mail field or at the beginning of each post.
If there are people who are actually interested in this, then tell your friends! This is probably the best board on all of 4chan, so more people would be nice. There isn't much to troll here, as most don't read enough books to even have trolling material.
