I was watching a documentary about treasures of Japan and they were talking about kabuki plays. One of the plays they showed bits and pieces off was a story about two rival families who in trying to end the feud between them were going to marry the daughter of one with the son of the other.
The daughter thinks her fiancee has been killed, but he's really in hiding pretending to be her families' gardener. Her father however is not fooled and sends the guy on a errand and hires an assassin to kill him.
And that's all I know, no mention is made on how it ends, not even the title of the story is given. So what is the story's title so I can look it up? I want to see how it ends, cause this is just going to bug the hell out of me until I find out.
