What kind of ending was that to "The Ghost King"?

I just looked up a picture of the guy to go with this post, but then I realized this isn't an image board. FFFFFFF

I was a little disappointed with this one as well. Drizzt felt like a giant wimp in it. I know it's a case of "Oh boo hoo Catti-Brie is in danger", but every single line relating to this problem didn't have to have

"Drizzt went to his beloved"
"Drizzt rushed to his beloved"
"Drizzt grabbed and hugged his beloved"

God. It was just so irritating.
